Actress Piper Perabo has joined the forged of Brian Goodman's sophomore film Black Butterfly alongside Antonio Banderas and Jonathan Rhys Meyers.
The movie is a remake of the French thriller Papillon Noir by using Herve Korian. Justin Stanley and Steve Hilts have penned the brand new script.
Banderas plays Paul, a screenwriter with a foul case of writer's block who befriends a grifter named Jack (Rhys Meyers). Perabo (Covert Affairs) is attached to play Laura, a real estate agent and love activity of Paul. After Paul invitations Jack to live with him in return for doing small projects, the tables flip and Jack holds him hostage, forcing him to put in writing a script. When Laura checks in on Paul, he takes her hostage as smartly. It quickly becomes obvious that Jack could be a dreaded serial killer of young girls that native police have been attempting to tune down.
